1、关于外冲刷机封的冷却水的压力不宜过大，一般情况不高于0.05MPa，流量0.3L/S左右，一般能自然活动即可。
　　2、关于内冲刷机封的冷却水的压力应比密封腔内的工作压力高0.1MPa以上。流量0.5L/S左右。冲刷水进入泵腔。
　　3、每次待冲刷水或冷却水敞开五分钟后，再发起潜水渣浆泵。
　　4、每次中止潜水渣浆泵五分钟后，再停冲刷水或冷却水。
　　5、机械密封不允许在无冲刷水或冷却水状态下工作，或干冲突工作。
